Singer-songwriter-musician Harrison Gesser blends an eclectic mix of influences with his love of music both new and old. Taking influences from many genres such as Album-oriented rock, Americana/Folk, American Songbook, Synth-pop, and more, Harrison crafts a sound that puts the listener in a new world rather than getting comfortable in their own.
Harrison was born in 2004 and started playing drums by age 5. He developed his craft by playing with jazz, rock, metal and experimental bands. By age 16 Harrison became the frontman, drummer, keyboard player and co-writer of a post-punk duo Emergency Staircase. The release of their album Rise & Shine had minor success on streaming platforms.
After being accepted to The University of Miami Frost School of Music, he was exposed to new music and musicians that would deeply influence the direction he wanted to pursue. In the middle of 2024 he released his first solo single ’Normal’. He quickly followed up with 3 new singles over the second half of 2024 which include ‘Just One Man, ‘Mountain With You’ and ‘The Amnesia Song’. Harrison’s love for new sounds and experimentation pushes his drumming, singing, songwriting, and arrangements to an ear-warming bouquet of tunes that will get you asking when and where can I hear more.
